1-O-Acetyl-2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-β-D-ribofuranose reacted with alcohols or phenols in the presence of trimethylsilyl trifluoromethanesulfonate(TMSOTf) and molecular sieve (4Å) to give good yields of 1-O-alkyl-2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-β-D-ribofuranose.
