THE APPLICATION OF Cu (facam)2 TO THE ASYMMETRIC CYCLOPROPANATION OF 2,5-DIMETHYL-2,4-HEXADIENE

a new kind of catalyst, chiral β-diketone copper complex Cu (facam) ₂ was used for the first time for the asymmetric cyclopropanation of 2, 5-dimethyl-2, 4-hexadiene with alkyl diazoacetate to give the alkyl esters of chrysanthemic acids. This catalyst was prepared starting with camphor to achieve 86.7% of the products.
